Year-Round Continuing Care Program

Wellspring’s entire focus is on helping campers return to a healthy weight within the year after camp. An important part of this is Wellspring’s unique year-round Continuing Care program.

Wellspring’s online Continuing Care program ensures campers stay in contact with a Behavioral Coach (BC) as well as the friends that they made at camp.  Campers self-monitor, journal, set goals, and weigh-in.  At the same time, their BC is closely monitoring the camper’s progress and providing feedback and support.

During a camper’s last week at Wellspring Texas, he or she is introduced to the Continuing Care program by their BC. We believe that support after leaving camp is so important that, if the Continuing Care program is adhered to with a defined level of consistency, the cost of the Continuing Care Program ($600) is fully refunded.

The fee is refunded based on meeting two criteria:

1. Camper completes 140 out of 180 days of self-monitoring (3 food items with fat and calories recorded per day)

2) Parent (or camper) obtains a verified height and weight and provides this form back to Wellspring via mail, fax, or email.

And the support doesn’t stop there. The Continuing Care program, which is so critical to a camper’s successful transition home and maintenance of a healthy lifestyle, continues until June 1, 2011.

Further, if other family members wish to use the Continuing Care site to participate throughout the fall (and help role model self-monitoring for their son or daughter – which we strongly encourage), they may do so free of charge.
